In these days of often justified critisism of youngsters' attitude and behavoir it's reassuring to again present the other side of the picture and praise the honesty of 15 year old David McEwan. David found a wallet containing £1,310.00 on the pavement near his home and handed it in to the Police who were able to reunite the wallet with it's owner. The owner was from Sutherland who was in Penicuik to buy a car. Recently the Crime Prevention Panel congratulated David and in recognition of his honorable actions presented him with the Panel's honesty award along with a Borders voucher worth £15.00. Well Done David you are a credit to yourself, your parents and your school.
